Comfortably Numb Outro Solo

May 4th, 2007

Here is a cover of David Gilmour’s Comfortably Numb outro solo. It is played by Mark from Lockport, New York. He does an good job on the solo but what really stands out is sound of his guitar and gear. I love the tone.

The song, Comfortably Numb, was written by the British rock band Pink Floyd and was released on the album “The Wall” (1979).

Comfortably Numb is one of only three songs on the album for which writing credits are shared between Roger Waters and David Gilmour. The majority of the music for the song was written by Gilmour. Roger Waters wrote the lyrics and some supplementary notes.

This song contains three guitar solos by Gilmour and is a favorite of Pink Floyd fans. The final outro solo is well regarded by fans and is considered one of David Gilmour’s finest guitar solos.
